Connect your account
1
Create a private API key
In Klaviyo, create a private API key with Metrics read access and Events write access.
Klaviyo’s key guide explains where to find these settings.
2
Connect Klaviyo
In Product Bundles, open Settings → Integrations. Paste your key into Klaviyo private API key and click Connect Klaviyo.
Your saved key stays on the server. Use Replace key to rotate it or Disconnect Klaviyo to stop sending events.
3
Enable storefront tracking
Enable Klaviyo’s onsite tracking through its Shopify integration and theme app embed.
View and cart events use this script and your store’s marketing consent settings.
Test with an identified Klaviyo profile, such as a shopper who submitted your signup form.
Bundle events
Each event includes
bundle_id, bundle_name, tier, bundle_price, savings, and currency.
Prices and savings use currency units: 18 means 18.00, not 18 cents.
View and cart prices reflect the selection at that moment. Order prices reflect the actual discounts Shopify applied.
Orders containing several bundles create an event for each bundle.
Checkbox add-ons are not part of bundle_price or savings, and their cart lines do not carry the bundle price properties.
Connecting does not subscribe shoppers to marketing or change your existing Shopify metrics.
Your flows still need Klaviyo’s normal consent and eligibility rules.
Anonymous visits may need Klaviyo’s anonymous activity backfill before they become usable in a flow.
Example abandoned-cart flow
1
Create a test event
With an identified, consenting test shopper, open a product page and add a bundle.
Confirm Bundle Added to Cart appears in Klaviyo’s metrics.
2
Create your flow
Create a metric-triggered flow using Bundle Added to Cart. Add a delay, such as one hour.
Add a flow filter that the shopper has placed an order zero times since starting the flow.
Use Shopify’s Placed Order metric so any purchase stops the reminder.
3
Show the chosen deal
Add a text block using the event properties below. Preview it with your test event before enabling the flow.
Existing abandoned-checkout templates
Products added through the widget carry these cart line properties:
In a Checkout Started flow, preview a real bundle checkout and copy the property path from Klaviyo’s event preview.
Use the bundle price field instead of the full product catalog price.
The total repeats on each component line: display it once per bundle, and do not add these totals together across component lines.
Use your usual product price for lines without bundle properties.
Cart properties describe the selection when products were added. Cart edits, expired offers, and other discounts can change the checkout total.
Check your event preview because the property paths depend on your Klaviyo Shopify integration.
