The onboarding wizard appears automatically when you first install Product Bundles by Appfox. It guides you through creating your first bundle in four simple steps, with personalized recommendations and revenue projections.

When the wizard appears

The wizard shows automatically on your first visit after installing the app. If you’ve previously skipped the wizard or completed it, it won’t appear again. You can create bundles manually from the dashboard at any time.

Step 1: Welcome and store analysis

The wizard greets you by name and analyzes your product catalog. You’ll see:
  • Number of products in your store
  • Estimated bundle opportunities
  • Potential monthly revenue from bundles
The analysis takes about 2 seconds and provides a personalized assessment of your store’s bundle potential.

Step 2: Choose a bundle type

Select one of five bundle type templates:
Products customers naturally buy together. Best for complementary items like phone + case + screen protector.
Full outfits or matching sets. Best for fashion, home decor, or coordinated product lines.
Everything needed to get started. Best for beginner bundles or complete solution packages.
Customer-chosen combinations from a product selection. Best when you want customers to build their own bundle.
Curated holiday or seasonal bundles. Best for limited-time offers tied to events or seasons.
Each option shows examples and best-use scenarios. Select the one that matches your merchandising goal.

Step 3: Configure your bundle

Set up your bundle details:

Name your bundle

Enter a descriptive name like “Summer Essentials Bundle” or “Complete Home Office Kit”. This name appears on your storefront.

Select products

Choose 2 or more products from your catalog. Click products to toggle selection. Selected products show a checkmark.

Set your discount

Choose between percentage (e.g., 20% off) or fixed amount (e.g., $10 off). Enter the discount value.
The wizard shows a live preview with:
  • Original total price
  • Discounted bundle price
  • Total savings
  • Savings percentage
You’ll also see smart recommendations. For example, if your discount is over 25%, the wizard suggests considering a lower discount to protect your margins.

Step 4: Review and activate

Review your bundle summary:
  • Bundle name and products
  • Pricing breakdown (regular price, bundle price, savings)
  • Revenue projections (estimated daily sales, monthly sales, and monthly revenue)
When you’re ready, click Activate Bundle. The wizard creates your bundle, marks setup as complete, and redirects you to the dashboard after a brief celebration animation. You can navigate through the wizard using:
  • Next button: Proceeds to the next step (enabled only when current step is complete)
  • Back button: Returns to the previous step (your selections are preserved)
  • Skip for now link: Skips the wizard and goes to the dashboard

After completing the wizard

Once your bundle is active:
  1. Add the product page widget to your theme (see the home page setup guide)
  2. The bundle widget will appear on product pages for products in your bundle
  3. Discounts apply automatically when customers add bundled products to their cart
  4. Track performance on the analytics page

Skip and return later

If you skip the wizard, it won’t appear again automatically. You can create bundles manually from the dashboard by clicking Create a bundle on the home page or going to Bundles → Select bundle type.
The wizard provides a fast way to get started, but you can create more advanced bundles with additional customization options from the bundle creation pages.
