Classic Bundles let you package specific products together and offer them at a discounted price. This is the most popular bundle type and works well for complementary products that customers naturally buy together.

What is a Classic Bundle?

A Classic Bundle contains a fixed set of products sold together with a percentage or fixed-amount discount. Customers must add all products in the bundle to receive the discount. Example: “Complete Home Office Bundle” containing desk lamp + mouse pad + pen holder at 20% off when purchased together.

When to use Classic Bundles

Classic Bundles work best for:
  • Complementary products: Items that naturally go together (phone + case + charger)
  • Complete solutions: Everything needed for a specific use case
  • Gift sets: Pre-curated bundles for gifting
  • Cross-category bundles: Products from different categories that solve a common need

How it appears on your store

Product page widget

When a customer visits a product page for any product in the Classic Bundle, the bundle widget displays:
  • Bundle name and products
  • Original total price
  • Bundle price with discount
  • Savings amount
  • “Add bundle to cart” button
Clicking the button adds all products in the bundle to the cart with the discount applied.

Cart

In the cart, customers see:
  • Individual line items for each product
  • A discount line item showing the bundle savings
  • Updated cart total
The discount applies automatically—no discount code needed.

Cart banner (if enabled)

If a customer adds one product from a bundle but not all, the cart banner suggests completing the bundle to receive the discount.

Best practices

Bundle products that make sense together. Customers should understand why these products are grouped and see value in buying them as a set.
Instead of “Bundle 1”, use “Complete Morning Routine” or “Travel Essentials Set”. Benefit-driven names convert better.
Most successful Classic Bundles offer 15-25% off. This is compelling to customers while preserving your margins. Test different discount levels to find your sweet spot.
Include at least one popular or high-demand product in each bundle. This draws attention and increases conversion.
Bundles with 3-5 products perform best. Too many products can feel overwhelming or too expensive, reducing conversion.
Use analytics to see which bundles perform best. Try different product combinations and discount levels to optimize results.
